Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 (February 27, 2010) Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming neighborhood that is located in the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. People unfamiliar with the term tend to think it's a separate island somewhere in the west of Montreal but in fact it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to every aspect of Lachine west to the city of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel's birthplace has been frequently cited, however her short stay wasn't. Brugel was raised on Courtice close to Oshawa in Ontario. Early ambitions were to become an expert dancer. But, a growing increase caused her to surpass all of the dance partners she had. She admitted in an article that was published in the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. After I became too big for my male partners I stopped. A lot of former dancers go on to act. In Brugel's case, it was the encouragement by her drama instructor at high school that led her to the path she required. She was encouraged to try out for roles in a school production. She was chosen to play the lead part in Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. This led to the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theatre Program and earned the Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in 2000. Since then, Brugel has been in over 60 productions both large and small. The most notable was the time she was cast as Rita in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian in the Season 1 The Handmaid's Tale cast as well as appearing only on occasion, was the sole Canadian.
