Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar was one of the American and British sitar artist. She is the youngest woman and the first to be awarded a British House of Commons shield. After four years she performed her appearance on the sitar in Delhi at her father's 75th birthday celebration. Anoushka gained many valuable experiences by accompanying her dad during his worldwide tour. This included performing in Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festivals, as well as performing together with George Harrison. In recognition of being an outstanding musician in the field of Asian Arts, she was awarded the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
