Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor, is most well-known for his character on the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was during his college years. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on both television and films but it was his character on the small screen that earned him a cult fans. He is able to create characters that reflect both the good and bad aspects that are part of our legal system. He is able draw the attention of viewers with ease. His first television project, he played the role of a serial killer. Then, he played the role of an NYPD Investigator. In recognition of his performance in the small screen, he's been nominated many times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards. One of his most striking facial traits is believed to be the sharp blue eye that has been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that have a rough, charismatic look. In 2006, he was featured in People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
